What I don't get about undecideds is that the information about the two candidates is out there. It's what they've said and done. It's on the web, it's on the news. Sure there's a lot of crap but if one wants to look at the issues and how the candidates' policies will affect them, that information is readily available and easily accessible. Verify their claims through an independent organization like factcheck.org. Do you want to see their leadership skills and organizational abilities? Look at how they run their campaign and the people with whom they surround themselves. To me, an undecided is one who hasn't been paying attention. Maybe they've been turned off by the incessant media coverage. But again, there are ways to get past that filter and check the candidates' records. Two weeks out from the election the candidates aren't going to radically change.

I love David Sedaris, but in this case he is making the same error as others who take easy shots at we "undecideds," mistaking thinking about the election (which, by definition, undecideds are still doing) with not thinking about it (which decided voters need to do less of, having already made up their minds). Anyone interested in what a real, live undecided voter is thinking about can visit a blog I created (www.undecidedman.com) and see if there is still more to talk about than chicken vs. sh*t sandwiches.
